Probably too wide but we have used these microfiber recliners for 4 years in RV. They have held up well with rough handling. They are too low if you want them to use as a chair. My husband modified the base to increase height as we use them to sit at a table. I don’t know why the seller did not respond to the question “Can the microfiber be removed?” The answer – NO. It is not designed to be removed. The zippers are for factory assembly, not washing. You can unzip back to access and remove the swivel bolt, but the back and seat material is still tied to the frame and ties are stapled. We didn’t want to tear down any further. Also some foam is sewed into the seat and back material. We were able to get material off the arms, but be careful not to strain the zipper ends. You can use dikes to remove the plugs on the base to remove the chair base material. Again not designed for this purpose and we broke one. Don’t do the ottoman as base material removal is blocked by metal. Here is a picture of the disassembly and the extension. Although I couldn’t get much material off to machine wash, it is still easier to wash using something like a spotbot when in pieces.Base broke after 6 years. I weighed 185 lbs. I could have take the base to a welding shop, but it’s time for a change. The chair was comfortable and easy to move about. Worth the money.OK. Big was huge but the FedeX guy carried it inside for me. Assembly was a snap even without the picture instructions. I like it's a bit lower than my other recliner. Also I don't recall reading anyplace that the covers are all zippered to remove for cleaning if need be. A great feature. Only thing I find a problem is the knob that 'holds' the back in position just doesn't do it that well. I have it as tight as possible and yet, if I lean back even slightly, the back moves. I wonder if there's a way to prevent that. I don't want the chair for reclining as much as swiveling. My back needs the support in as upright a position as possible and that little hitch back when I lean is disappointing. I've just learned to not lean back as much. I do love the look and the swiveling is really great when I'm not just looking at the tube. I'd like to find if there's a way to stop this slipping and just keep the chair in one position. Any suggestions would be appreciated.I'm 6'2" and I'll tell you now that this chair is small... not waaay too small or anything, but about 1/3 smaller than my old recliner, which was about average sized... but that recliner was old, stank, uncomfortable and I kept constantly losing stuff in the sides and back... I am *so* glad I replaced it with this chair! It is small, but for me, still quite comfortable, and it's *lighter* than my old recliner, which was great; it made carrying it upstairs a breeze. The old one was heavy as hell and awkward to move around. Extremely easy to assemble, as well. Overall, pretty darn happy with this chair... would be a 5 star if it were a bit wider and a bit higher up...Very comfortable. Husband and Dad both like it. We needed A new type of recliner since we got two kittens.our old one would have decapitated them. This one is perfect for not squishing kittens. Only reason for 4 stars is it does attract a bit of Lent, and the kittens have decided they'd like to scratch it. But so far very happy with this purchase, would recommend. ** 2019 edit...3 years later and I still find this to be very comfortable and a goodbye. Unfortunately kittens are now cats and they have scratched it to pieces. Will be getting a different type of chair that hopefully will stand up to claws....keeping the chair covered for the kitties in the other room as it's their favorite. This is a small chair. People under 5 foot 6 inches will probably be pleased. Taller people will feel like a marshmallow on the end of a toothpick when they sit in it.The chair is cheaply made, as you would expect at this price point. It looks good, but I'm not expecting it to stay in one piece for long even with good care. I'm not returning it simply because I intend to use it in my living room for a while and then move it to a guest bedroom where it won't get much use.It has a knob to tighten the back position. It is a joke and does nothing but spin. When you lean back, the back of the chair will move whether you want it to or not. The knob might be good for tying your dog's leash if you want to keep it nearby, but that's about all. There is no lumbar support. You'll need to use pillow for that.Great chocolate color and soft fabric but one of the zippers came broken. And as explained in some reviews, this chair is perfect for people UNDER 5'5"- 5'-4". Very easy to install, no tools required as it comes with everything needed. Light maneuver with the swivel part, just a little push back is needed to recline it and it goes back to upright position as you move forward to get up. Hopes my review is of good help in decision making! ? ?️I was very leery when ordering this chair, based on all the negative reviews. However, I found that was all for nothing when I received shipment 6 days later. It's obvious that some individuals are nothing more than chronic complainers. The chair arrived undamaged. It was easy to assemble (no parts missing). It looks awesome and is extremely comfortable. It now resides in our 26' travel trailer. FYI - I'm 5'10" and weigh 180 pounds. It`s the right fit for my abode.
